Wednesday Weekly Deals : April 6 - April 12

Hello all,

As I'm sure you've already noticed, I've got a different Weekly Deals banner this week. Stampin' Up! have announced that there are only two more weeks of Weekly Deals. If you're wondering why they're phasing out the Deals, the short version is this: the Deals were started as a way of moving excess inventory out of the warehouse and they have been successful. This means the amount of unique products they have available for offering in the Deals has dropped, and they don't have the variety they used to. (You may have noticed there have been a few repeat products in the past couple of months, this is why.)

The announcement went out to demonstrators yesterday: only 2 more weeks of Weekly Deals! They are going to be replaced with a different promotion, but more on that later. First we need to move straight into this week's Deal offerings as there are FIFTEEN products on offer! (Quite a few of which have already been offered in the Weekly Deals this year, so again we can see the reduced number of products SU! have to offer us at Deals prices.) We might be losing our Weekly Deals, but at least they're going out with a bang!

On offer in this week's deals are: 5 stamp sets; 2 punches; 2 sequin assortment packs; 2 ribbon-type embellishments (the twine and sequin trim); 1 decorate mask; 1 gift bag; 1 scoring plate; and 1 Framelit set.

Starting with the stamp sets we have three from the Holiday Catalogue 2015 Returning Favourites range. These are the Holly Jolly Greetings stamp set (clear mount only, wood mount available at regular prices), Reason for the Season stamp set (available in photopolymer only), and the Snow Place stamp set (available in photopolymer only). Each of these Returning Favourites are also available in bundles with coordinating products. If you like to coordinate your stamps with nifty tools, you can find those bundles in the shop section here.  The other two stamp sets in the deals are Remarkable You (clear mount only, wood mount available at regular prices) and Vintage Leaves (available in photopolymer only). Vintage Leaves is also available in a bundle with coordinating Framelits so you don't have to fussy cut those leaves if you want to layer them! These two stamps sets are both from the 2015-2016 Annual Catalogue.

If you ever have the need for punching teeny tiny circles then the 1/16" Circle Punch is the tool you're after (note that this is one of the products we've seen several times in the Deals so far this year). The Blossom Bunch Punch is a new one from the Occasions Catalogue. It's also available in a bundle with the photopolymer stamp set Grateful Bunch. If you're considering the Grateful Bunch stamp set, definitely get it in the bundle with the Blossom Bunch Punch. It makes cutting those flowers so much easier!

The range of embellishments on offer this week include both the Brights and Metallics Sequin Assortments. I love the Brights Sequin Assortment! I use mine A LOT! Anyone who has attended my classes before will have noticed this. =) Other embellishments in the Deals are the Bermuda Bay Baker's Twine and Blushing Bride Sequin Trim. Baker's Twine is a bargain buy at regular price - you get 22.9 metres in a pack. Getting it at Deal price? Even better! The Blushing Bride Sequin Trim looks so dainty and pretty. I'm finally going to get myself some. I think it will make a cute, subtle sparkly addition to a baby girl card!

The Stampin' Up! Kraft Gift Bags are designed plain so YOU can add any stamps, colours and elements you want to! Perfect for coordinating gift wrapping to a card, or even the present itself. So fun! =D Use them with the Hearts & Stars Decorative Mask (also in the Deals this week!), a brayer or sponges, and any ink colour you want for a quick background.

All that leaves us with now are the tools that are on special this week. I've never used any of the Stampin' Up! Scoring Plates, but if you're wondering what they're for do a quick YouTube search and you'll find hundreds of examples of other very clever demonstrators using scoring plates to make all sorts of amazing boxes and fun fold cards! PootlesPapercraft is the YouTube channel of number one UK demonstrator, Sam Hammond Donald, and she makes all sorts of stuff using the scoring board and plates. The plate on special this week is the Metric Scoring Plate

I love the Stars Framelits and use them quite regularly, especially with kids' cards. They can also be bought in a bundle with the coordinating stamp set Be the Star. The bundle is available in both clear mount and wood mount options.

And the final Deal for this week is the Hearts & Stars Decorative Mask. I have this mask pack myself and need to use it more! I have so many ideas for it...

Thanks for sticking around for the long read! I will do another update shortly with the info on the specials that will replace the Weekly Deals when they finish. Stay tuned!

Ruth
